TMX Crossfit

TMX CrossFit offers a non-stop high intensity workout that combines various multi-joint strength exercises, plyometrics, specific metabolic exercises and dynamic multidirectional agility drills into one face pace circuit. You will not only develop the ability to fight through fatigue but also enhance your overall cardiovascular and muscular endurance, strength, speed, power, flexibility, coordination, balance, stamina, accuracy and agility. These brief bouts of metabolic conditioning keep your body guessing by constantly varying the workout duration, speed of movement, number of repetitions and amount of resistance. By challenging your body to exert large amounts of energy in such short periods of time you will not only enhance your overall work capacity but crush calories and blast fat in no time flat. All CrossFit programs offered at TMX CrossFit in Sault Ste. Marie are available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY in 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions. You can participate in any CrossFit programs INDIVIDUALLY, with a PARTNER, with your own PERSONALLY SELECTED GROUP or join one of our PRE-SET GROUPS listed below. GETTING STARTED

If you're new to CrossFit, or haven't CrossFitted in a certified facility or in a while, then our TMX CrossFit Foundations program is the way to start. This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to successfully prepare you for CrossFit. The Foundations program is designed to introduce you to the basics of CrossFit technique and movements in a safe manner and at a pace that matches your individual fitness level. Our goal is to get you familiar with the 9 fundamental movements of Crossfit with an emphasis on skill development. We slow the pace down and really focus on the technique behind each movement for your safety and your success. We'll make sure you're fluent in CrossFit terminology, equipment, proper form and technique right from the start, so you can push yourself, while staying safe.

Each session ends with a progressively more challenging workout. Since everyone completes the same WOD (Workout of the Day) we will teach you how to scale the workout to match your fitness level. You will also learn the progressions for exercises that may take you a few weeks or months to acquire. This is the scaling that makes it possible for you to workout alongside people who have very different athletic capabilities. Remember how hard you work is ultimately up to you. If you haven't worked out in a while, we'll build up the intensity steadily. We'll push you as much as we can, but you decide the level of intensity you're willing to reach.
